Equal Payments Ltd is an independent UK energy broker run by people with fourteen years in the business energy market. We were incorporated in Weston-Super-Mare on 13 August 2021 and we have done one thing since: get UK businesses a better price for gas and electricity than they would arrange themselves — and sort out the mess when a supply goes wrong. We are not a supplier, we are not owned by one, and we are not a comparison website with one-click pricing, because business energy is not priced that way.

Fourteen years in the energy market
We have spent fourteen years in UK business energy — not only arranging contracts, but picking up the pieces when a supply goes wrong. We work with all kinds of businesses, from a single shop or office to premises with a mix of gas and electricity needs. That experience is why we take on the awkward cases: the bill nobody can explain, the transfer nobody authorised, the supplier that has stopped answering.
Finding the best available price
Comparing the market on your actual usage, then re-checking it before every renewal rather than once and hoping.
Billing problems
Wrong readings, wrong rates, missing credits, double charges. We raise it with the supplier and chase it until it is closed out.
Erroneous transfers
If your account has been moved to another supplier without your permission, we get it investigated, reversed and the account put right.
Leaving a supplier that cannot help
When service has broken down completely, we help you move away — including the awkward cases where a supplier makes it difficult.
Change of tenancy
Taking over a premises or handing one back means getting the supply moved on and off cleanly. We handle that side of it.

One recent bill tells us your rates, annual usage, meter type and contract end date. That is the difference between a real comparison and a guess.
Ask 35 suppliers to price your business
Suppliers quote us rates they do not advertise on their own websites, because brokered customers arrive ready to sign.
Compare the yearly total, not the headline
A cheap unit rate with a heavy standing charge costs a small office more overall. We compare what you will actually pay in a year.
Handle the switch end to end
Contract, Letter of Authority, notice to your old supplier, the switch itself. Your supply is never interrupted — the same wires and pipes either way.
Diarise your renewal
The expensive mistake in business energy is missing the notice window and rolling onto a new year at uncompetitive rates. We track the date for you.

Broker-only pricing
Much of the business energy market is never published. Suppliers set prices per customer and often reserve their sharpest rates for brokered deals, so going it alone means asking one supplier at a time.

A broker working with a handful of suppliers is really a salesperson for those suppliers. We go across the market and show you where it lands.
Nothing to hide
We are not owned by a supplier and we are not paid more to push one of them. If the cheapest contract is with a name you have never heard of, that is the one we put in front of you.
Written rates before you sign
You see the unit rate, the standing charge and the contract length in writing before anything is agreed. No verbal contracts, no cold-call pressure.
£0 to you, for any of it
The supplier you choose pays our fee out of the contract. You are never sent a separate bill by us.

The honest bits
We do not supply energy. Your supplier still sends the bill and still fixes any outage. We arrange the contract and step back.
We are paid by the supplier you choose. That commission is built into the contract rate, which is why the comparison and the switch cost you nothing. It also means you should always ask any broker how many suppliers they compare — that number is the whole product.
We cannot always save money. Some businesses are already on a sharp deal. We will say so rather than invent a saving, and we will tell you when to come back.
